Paul S. Buchman Attorney of the Year Awarded Posthumously to Robert L. Nabors

The Florida Bar’s City, County and Local Government Law Section presented the Paul S. Buchman Attorney of the Year Award posthumously to Robert L. Nabors at its annual meeting on May 10th.  Each year, the Paul S. Buchman Award is given to the state’s most outstanding local government attorney. The award is named for Mr. Buchman, an attorney who spent his career representing municipalities and who gave tirelessly and unselfishly to Florida’s municipal community.

Robert L. Nabors, a founding member of the Firm, passed away on February 28th, 2019. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to the representation of local governments within the State of Florida and always did so with a brilliant intellect and a warm and humorous spirit. He is widely recognized as the father of “Home Rule” in the State of Florida and fought tirelessly for his clients throughout his 52 year legal career.
