Nabors Giblin advises Miami-Dade County on a transaction that received The Bond Buyers 2021 National Deal of the Year Award

On December 16, 2021, firm client Miami-Dade County won The Bond Buyer’s national Deal of the Year Award for its $1.24 billion bond issue on behalf of the Miami-Dade County Seaport Department.

Nabors, Giblin & Nickerson, P.A. served as disclosure counsel on the transaction, led by Tampa partners Ritesh Patel, L. Thomas Giblin and Cynthia Wilhelm. For 20 years the editors of The Bond Buyer have annually selected outstanding municipal bond transactions for recognition. The deal represented the largest bond transaction in Miami-Dade County’s history and the largest port transaction to come to market since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The firm has served as disclosure counsel to the County for over 10 years.
