With the hiring of Bradley Weissman and Alain Boileau, the Firm is pleased to now offer our clients legal counsel in all matters involving law enforcement operations and administration. These matters include development of policies, law enforcement training, prosecution of seizures under the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act, drafting mutual aid and other law enforcement related agreements, providing counsel to Internal Affairs personnel regarding the applications of the Police Officer Bill of Rights and other employment issues, negotiating and drafting police collective bargaining agreements, and litigation involving claims against law enforcement officers.
Mr. Weissman has spent over 30 years working in the law enforcement community as an assistant state attorney and as an assistant city attorney assigned to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Mr. Boileau has represented government entities and law enforcement officers in police liability cases for over 23 years and before coming to the Firm was the City Attorney for the City of Fort Lauderdale.
