Nabors, Giblin & Nickerson, P.A., has an active litigation and appellate practice and represents governmental entities on a wide variety of issues. The Firm’s primary areas of focus is litigation relating to tax and finance issues, employment law, land use litigation, and construction law.
NG&N has been at the forefront in developing and defending alternative local government revenue sources and has represented local governments throughout the State of Florida in disputes over the validity of impact fees, special assessments and the implementation and funding of a variety of services and improvements through municipal services taxing and benefit units. NG&N has also been actively involved in the representation of local governments relating to redevelopment areas and the use of increment financing.
The Firm provides numerous services relating to the litigation of land use matters including eminent domain proceedings, claims of inverse condemnation and under the Bert Harris Act and actions involving comprehensive plan and land development code disputes. Additionally, NG&N provides specialized litigation services in the areas of employment issues and in the defense of claims related to allegations of a violation of the Public Records Law and Sunshine Law.
